Maximizing Performance

 

The engine compartment has several fresh air intakes that should be temporarily closed off to avoid the loss of heat. It is VERY IMPORTANT to remove these covers before returning the boat to service. A heavy insulated blanket or moving blanket may also be placed over the engine, with the heater placed inside this cavity to reduce electrical consumption, as well as the size of the area requiring heat.
